seriously k-ma, you have kaws envy. everything that i read from you is nothing more than mere stupidity. it's nice to see that an artist whom you infer isn't worth his salt is able to show his work in a real art museum with others from his era that have defined and embodied a complete movement in the art world. i suppose you believe that futura is unoriginal because he 'spatters paint on a canvas that looks like orbits' or creates 'pointman figures' that to you would look like he ripped off aliens. in that same vein you probably believe that jeff koons, whom kaws admires, is unorignal as well because he creates sculptures that you more than likely think he ripped off a balloon clown who works at kids parties making dogs or swords out of balloons. the way i see it, is that you have no true bearing on art or what art actually is - whether it is on a canvas, a figure, a shoe or even a tattoo. i would like to see you go up to mr. cartoon out in los angeles and tell him his work is unoriginal because he inks letters or skulls or anything that has been around before onto people who pay him money - he wouldn't even give you the time of day. and all that to say this - if you had any sense of reason or respect for art, the least you could try and do is find your own meaning to what kaws does. here, i will give you some help... maybe you could view kaws work as a way to take something common and familiar that crosses all cultural and generational gaps, and creates a way for people to more easily deal with a difficult issue such as death.
