hey guys! i've been planning to do a robocop munny for a while now. my roommate has heard me talk about it for about a year with nothing to show! anyways, when tyler stouts poster dropped a few weeks back, i decided to get on the wagon and finish this Duckling!

anyways, here is a little process thread as i go along. i finished sanding it tonight(no pics of it yet sanded completely) and should be priming tomorrow with some painting done this week. the paints are gonna be tricky to get right. i need that perfect blend of silver/blue with a small dab of purple. gonna be fun for sure!

here are some pics of the process!

Really impressive detailing with the sculpting. It is going to look amazing once it's painted. Are you going to make the visor for the eyes or are you just going to paint that area?

thanks guys!

for the visor, i'm just going to paint the area. it'd be too much of a hassle to go and custom cut a piece of plastic to fit properly.

Try to do the visor... for that extra kick!!! If it doesnt work you could always paint it!
Just a suggestion.

so, yes guys! it is CHROME!

as for selling, when im done, i might take orders for some robo customs. the price will probably be around 400-500 dollars due to the massive time involved. shoot me a pm if your interested and ill keep you updated.

Wow, like everyone else has mentioned, insane sculpting job. Do you sculpt it before applying it or do you apply a big blob and sculpt it while its on the Munny?

thanks guys!

i just wrapped up the colors right now, although i want to wait a while for everything to set before i seal/varnish. then i have to wait a day or two for the varnish to set before i put him together! so it's almost done guys!

skeptic - i usually just blob it on and shape it with my hands. some things like the boots and shoulder pads are sculpted before i put it on.

thanks again!

[ Added: Mon Jan 05, 2009 10:07 am ]
alright guys!

its done! i still have to varnish it to really pop out the colors and chrome but here ya go!

i'll get some better pictures once i have it completely done and sealed.
