it just makes more sense right? the actual active helpful members get some love and it encourages ppl to become more active to get some of these benefits...its just a big confused free for all here...i got all excited that i finally scored smthing and now it feals like it was stolen from me...like when a child looses their first tooth and tucks it under their pillow waiting for the tooth fairy to come but before she could make it, two evil thieves came and stole it away... (anyone see rundown lol, exactly how i feel right now)

KR should have assigned an intern to run a contest:

POST #1 "Yo we found 4 Hucks and we're gonna hook up some boardies. Post your name below in the next two hours. If you put your name on the list after XOCLOCK no dice you out!

This limits the amount of people in the lottery, and your reward the active or lucky enough to be on the boards.

So now we got a list of 200...For every FULL YEAR you've been on the board you get 1 ticket. My join date is 2007 so I get 5 pulls, King DBag 2011=1 Pull

The intern takes the names cuts n pastes them to a word doc. Prints it chops em up and pulls em out of a hat 4 winners with 24 hour window and 4 alternates.

Rewards the active members and would be great SOCIAL MEDIA FODDER FOR KR!! Post a vid of the intern doining all the junk and then a live stream of the drawing...People would love that kind of sutff...and it would be FAIR, FUN, and GIVE THE ACTIVE MEMBERS a better chance at the reward.

But any idea like this would never get past the "cool idea" filter at KR...They too busy stacking bundles of $100 bills!!

As a new account (previous lurker/following blogs), the hostility and feelings of seniority=entitlement does not feel welcoming and encouraging to be more active, it sounds like 'you're worthless because we think you're new, so go away and leave the fun things/opportunities to better more deserving members'.

But, I'm not thin skinned. And I'm glad to see a variety of people enjoying an opportunity where they did what they needed to do to be in the right place at the right time. And sorry for those with false confirmations- that's brutal!

i think post count should be more important than the number of years uve been registered on the forums...cuz some ppl made an account in 2005 but only have 100 posts...thats not active at all...know what i mean?

thats not how it should feel, sorry if i came across that way, i just meant that people that have been here a long time and have many posts should have an advantage (its like this everywhere, ex: in the police force, the rookies get highway patrol, the seniors get detective and advanced squad positions (k9, swat,dea, ect) and the longer ur there, the more money u make....seniority matters..)
a guy that made an account yesterday and only has 5 posts, 4 of which are self bumps on his sales thread where hes trying to flip things shouldnt get an item 'reserved' for board members before someone with 1500 posts that has been waiting for years to get the item right? i mean come on...even new members have to be able to admit that, i did when i missed out on the CP lottery...

Honestly, I think its a good community that keeps a member active in the long run. Not gonna lie, receiving PMs about why I got the Dunny felt really unwelcoming. I've had a passion for vinyl toys and customs since 2007, and I wanted to join here so I can be around a community that shares my interests.

To be fair, I do feel the system of this release wasn't structured well (it is Huck after all). It was pretty messed up with them cancelling orders. The link shouldn't have been visible to unregistered users in the first place. And there really isn't any strata on these boards. Since I'm new here, I'm in no position to really say anything. But I can see everyone's point of view on what happened.

About the post count... 99% of pandasashi's posts are cry-baby posts or getting into fights with every new member here. I think post count should be irrelevant since any fool can reach million posts if they have enough time.

Sorry to hear you got PMed- It's not nice, though I'd also hazard to say that when people feel so strongly about some things, they can get caught up and just say/do things they wouldn't have if they weren't whipped up about it. I know when I logged on to check and see if I could grab one of the Skullheads (low expectations), I figured if I did get one I wouldn't admit to it for exactly that reason.

It could have been run more like a contest (Like that killer JRYU Sanctum Dunny); put up a thread, get people to reply, do a draw, contact them privately. That would encourage board members and not guests to participate, everyone would have an idea of what their odds were (instead of wondering "if there were maybe 30 members logged in, but unknown guests, and how many people have their Online status turned off, hmm maybe my chance is 1/50?"), adjust their expectations accordingly, and then not have to suffer a heart attack in getting one in cart but not checked out/mis tpying credit card info/suffering the crippling blow of a false confirmation.

It depends, maybe those who have been around longer yet have lower post counts make posts of higher "quality" rather posting loads but it being mostly dross! It's a fine balance! Let's get creative, how abouts full years membership x post count

I wouldn't say it's negativity, it's constructive criticism. Every company needs to look at every opinion and stop and think "hey, did we handle that correctly".

If I got upset about every negative comment from customers of my business, I would have quit a long, long time ago. I try and learn from every negative comment people give me and honestly, my business is way better now because of what I've learned over the years. Yes, some people just biznatch, I have a dozen customers like that, but every once in awhile even one of those "negative nancys" points out something I could change for the better. Hopefully you guys at KR learn from this.

Guru, you know these types of things are just going to spawn the griping... it just seems like a tiny bit more effort in the planning/execution could do wonders but KR always manages to fall flat. The wishlist glitch, the "secret" URL, and the delivery of it all. A drawing or something which still generates hype and excitement but less frustration just seems to make perfect sense.

It also irks me when popular but artificially limited production pieces are treated like this. It isn't an original piece, there are multiple colorways, Huck will sell no matter what, you have the molds... I get that the strong hint is that another is coming or something similar but the game of it all just is silly to me. Save the drama for originals/customs not production. Like the 2tones.
