So, I find myself posting less and less every day and I'm thinking, I can't be the only one. All the constant drama, scamming, bickering, and everything in between has killed off the kick back vibe these boards once had. From sociopaths with nothing better to do than troll around harassing as many people as they can, to all the noobs thinking the sun shines out of there a$$ and are entitled to everything and anything. What are your thoughts on the direction this community has taken, and has it affected how much time and effort you spend on here?

Grab a drink and blow off some steam. . .

ugh i would love it if there was a way to set up a system that you cant access the b/s/t unless you have like 25-50 posts. would weed out how many people sign up for a day just to unload sh1t.

All I can say is I miss the way the boards were back in 07, when I joined and even before when I was a lurker. When everyone showed support, people got along, there were not certain groups of people. Not sure if it was the members back then or what.

I come here to post new work and thats it nowadays. I have a great deal of love for toys, and even more for customs. But none for drama....

+10000000000000. I was just talking about this with a couple buddies from the boards. I mean I have only been here a year, but it was a whole lot different when I joined.

Same here! I've only been here a little over a year and it has changed ALOT!! =\

Btw, totally random but anybody remember "Tacune"? That guy was a trip but he ended up getting a little too weird towards the last few months that he was on here. Last time I saw him was at a release where he had shaved his head and was walking around with a trench coat. He was looking at everyone like he was about to shoot up the line  I did a little google search and it looks like he pretty much dropped off the face of the planet around the same time that he left the boards. Hope he didn't take that song about him too seriously :?

Way back when this was the place to come, was a good place just to hang and chat about toys. Sure there were some flippers and weirdos but they were mainly harmless, not ripping people off left, right and centre and certainly not utter butterfinger like faile2 and rippled.

I dunno if it's me getting older, newer boardies coming in acting like the world owes them a favour or a combo but I just can't be bothered anymore.

All these 'official' threads...what a load of BS.

I've only been here a couple of years, but it's the same for me as well. I only sign on once a day for about 5 minutes, if even that, and rarely post anything anymore.

This would just lead to someone's first 50 post being "awesome" or "Bump"

I totally agree about the bickering and scamming. It was always here but not to the extent it is now. But to me thats not the worst part, the worst part is the blatant lack of respect for the community and like Manne touched on this Noob sense of entitlement. At what point do people become toy elitist?? I just don't get it really.

I pretty much started using these boards in the last month or so because I started collection dunny and customizing. And no offnse to anyone here, I don;t post much here or spend a lot of time reading through the boards because of all the drama and in-fighting. There is a general bad attitude that comes off the boards here. This has pushed to other places like CTU for my series questions and posts.

I hardly post at all anymore.
I cannot feel the passion for toys and art on here like I used to.
It is a little sad indeed . . .

The passion still exists for me. It's sad that I see a lot more people getting into this for the lucrative side of it instead of the passion and thrill of the hunt. There are those board members that remind me of why I love the toy community so much though. I wont let a turd in the punch bowl ruin the party though, I'll just drink the high grade stuff.

A little stricter moderation is needed. Far too often nice threads turn into nasty ones because a few trolls purposely disrupt it and get people riled up. Give troublemakers a warning for trolling, and if they continue disrupting the thread, ban them. As much as I like the freedom here, there have to be rules.

Word.

This may have stopped fail2evolve long ago, but then again when there were more mods and they were pretty on top of people like this, at the same time, a couple of them were actually encouraging flaming and harassment. I think we as a community can help stop these trolls by not encouraging them and reporting them if need be. But with so many people cheering on and supporting people like fail, nicorapeface, retraded post, etc etc, I don't know if that's going to happen.

Let this not be yet another heated thread which may turn into more drama, please. Let's just move forward in a more positive manner and do our best to handle situations civilly, and help ease up current and future drama.
