It is 5 pm eastern, which means you should have your package in by now!

Congratulations to everyone who participated! I had a blast and hope you guys did, too. I'm about to post some pics on the diy thread, I look forward to seeing everyone's!

So, now that its over, a lot of people have been claiming to have a 'complete list', but how complete is it?

every item?

every bonus?

every question right? (to all those of you who were so proud to finish the quiz in 5 minutes!)

hopin a fake wacky wall walker might be okay?

how complete is your complete list?

Well i have all the items +bonuses and i did get all the pics with some extras for fun, and i got all the questions as well.
I also sperated all my items in different size and marked bags and in 5 seperate mini boxes all going in list order from pages 1-5 i aalso made a Photo ablum and a nice folder with a brand new list in it. It looks great but im not saying it cant go wrong it might get horribly mangled in the trip from LA-NY.

a lot of lurkers! but here it is, i'm going to lay it out and make my case for my ace. and here it is . . . .

from the beginning, i figured someone or a few someones would be able to check off every item, so what could i do to set mine apart from the fate of a random drawing?

well, as a toy collector, i approached it like collecting. let me use dunny s4 as an example~

some people will say they have a complete set when they have a full base set. Still others will add an open-eyed jessup, maybe a diver, maybe even a huck and call that a complete set. and by some standards, it is. but it is not fully complete, is it?

no, a serious collector who is a hardcore 'completeist' requires every single dunny for a complete set. that means a full base set, the open-eyed, diver, red and yellow hucks and the golden ticket. and lets not forget the mustard/ketchup variants! feel me?

so, i approached this hunt like a serious completeist--i went for everything on the list!

. . . and got it~

so that means, for example, i got the crystal pepsi AND cucumber pepsi.

I view these as the yellow and red skullhead hucks. both rare, one so rare it almost glows in the dark!

my 7" vinyl is BOTH etched and colored. this might be the tara? rare, not as hard as the hucks.

but the golden ticket is the Wacky Wall Walker. Incredibly rare, and harder still since most might have a questionable ancestry. and my wacky wall walker is sealed in its cereal bag with a certificate of authenticity.

but i think my favorite item that i got shows my dedication to this project more than any other thing cause it could only be found by pure dedication. a four-leaf clover~

as you can see, the snow is still on the ground as spring is just waking up, here. i think this one grew just for me~

and, of course, i also had the rabbits foot just to have everything.

so, there it is. i think the true collectors can appreciate my completely complete list. Every item, every bonus, AND every variant.

so enjoi was wondering how i could have more points, i think this explains how, by playing by the rules, i can.

i realize there might still be a run-off with another 'completeist', but otherwise, maybe some of you can understand why i'm feelin good at this point~

i will add a few more details later. i'm sure some people will be upset to see my method, but i am sharing not to rub anything in, but as a toy-lover, and maybe someone can apply these ideas or methods in the future.

but there is my ace =P~

i didnt the same thing for my record and my lucky item was a original rabbit foot but you got me on the pepsi i wanted to do thata but i couldnt find a can of cucomber pepsi and i thought it had to be a can. As for the wacky wall walker good show idk how the hell you got that or where but im majorly impressed.

If i loose to you it wont really be as big of a loss. Id say your extra effort shouldnt go unknowticed.

okay, now what i wanted to add is i know how these boards work. and while there seem to be a lot more lurkers than flamers (which is a good thing! in my book), i want to try and head off some criticism before it gets started.

i just want to say that i REALLY did have a lot of fun doing this hunt. and it was great to combine my current love of kr with many nostalgic things from growing up.

and from the beginning, i have said that i am in it 2 win it! but i have tried to play the game the right way. I have tried to be a good sport an encourage good sportmanship (as i have been quite impressed with many competitors!) including trading with board members, offering help and answers when i could, and HONEST help, not what might help me or sarcastic dismissals. and towards the end, i even sent a few relatively difficult items out to boardies who needed them but didn't have anything i needed.

and i'm glad to have played the game on the up and up. it has truly been a great experience~ i have enjoyed all the boardies, the trades, the suggestions and the stories!

very savvy and i greatly applaud you.

after re -reading the rules I did read that "any interpretations of the list will be deemed acceptable at kidrobot's discretion". This makes me feel like your guys "interpretation" by counting the or items as items can, and maybe could, be accepted by the judges.

thats still up to them though

and also , it does say that duplicate items wont count as extra points.

and since the or items are separated by an OR and not an AND, that makes me feel like the cucumber and crystal are exclusive, and do count as duplicates. "or" implies that one or the other or both are accepted, but in no way implies that both are better than one.

and i could definately see your tribulations being rewarded, and me feeling no shame losing to you guys, except that maybe the rules were misleading.

the bottom line is, and still is, that there are 133 check marks.
and 138 possible points as anyone doing the contest could imagine.

and the fact that a winner will be chosen randomly makes me believe that kidrobot wanted to design the contest so that no one could garuntee a win.

of course this is all me trying to be optomistic for me and all the other kids who put our buts on the line for this thing, and got the whole list, and would pray that someone else who got the whole list wouldn't have more chances then them for going beyond the list.

but then again this is my first contest, i dont know how the judges work at all.

im going to try and forget about the whole thing until next thursday, its really no more use racking my brain over because its said and done.

i know my package was simple, complete, and to the point.
i decorated my sending box with dunny spray paint sillohets in a modest attempt to make it stick out, but other than that, my package was 8 lbs, and very manageable.

with so many packages to look through, I think kr might appreciate it. and like tacune i organized things into smaller boxes/folders of small things, medium things, and flat things, with the list of everything contained within on the outside, and the names on each item.

but still
I think it's foolish to imagine that your chances are better than everyone elses, since there has to be at least, 20 people out there with a passable list at least i imagine.

i know mine- with sending costs, probably ran about 140, and i overnighted it

but man yours mustve run up the wall, id almost feel bad if you guys didnt win, if you ended up spending nearly as much as tac.

well i gotta say enjoifriend(sorry if i misspelled) i think anyone who completed the list should feel like there holding a lotto tcket right now none of us have a better chance atm. But shaz and i just wanted to go all out (it makes us feel better about the fact we have no way of making are odds better) But to eveyone who participated i say THANKS for goining in the fun and to everyone who got over 100points worth i say AWSOME dude good job!! But to everyone who completed it I say you have something to be really proud of, you did something special weather it out of savy scavy skills or a big wallet you did it, and may the luckyest man win. BUt i certainly hope theres some form of compensation i wish that everyone who competed got like a blind box or something how cool would that be? But dont forget weather you completeted the list or not weather you went ALL OUT like shaz or I you still had the guts to gun for the gold and you should be hapy you did i hope you all enjoyed your hunt. Post some pics if you have them!

Last year, after the Doma Acid Sweeties Scavenger Hunt, they sent all the participants with at least 100 points a Doma Acid Sweetie and a $100.00 Kidrobot gift certificate. That was pretty cool of them.

I can't remember how many people were on the list, but I believe it was under 100. I think I came in tied around #9, so this year I tried extra hard to get all the points. I was so obsessed for the last couple of weeks with this hunt, my family is glad it is over and they have me back - lol. Also, last year, the #1 winner did not even have all the points. They were 1 point short, becuase on the list was a picture of the Kidrobot VW. I read that the VW was parked in Paul Budnitz garage, so no one could get a picture of it, at least that was the rumor.

i don't know how long you have been collecting, but i think most collectors will agree, i have succeeded in a complete set. i am not very worried about that part being open to interpretation. clearly, and once again, a full set with chases and a red huck might be called a complete set, but the yellow huck takes it to the next level. and clearly, a submission with a crystal pepsi might be complete, but the cucumber takes it to the next level. if anyone can and will appreciate this, i think it is the good folk at kidrobot.

as for the duplicates, i took that to mean that i can't send in my sports card collection from growing up and have it count for 3,000 pts. my complete set, did, however include cards from teams in LA, NY, Miami, and SF. AND they were truly collectible including Bo Jackson, Magic JOhnson, Nolan Ryan & Jessie Jackson throw back cards, etc., etc. i sent 12 in but i only expect credit for the complete set (so, 4 pts or something?). collecting sports cards was my passion growing up, and i consider it a happy sacrifice sharing some of my favorites in transitioning to my current collectible passion, vinyl~

enjoi, you're obviously intelligent and articulate and will obviously come out on top many times in life. but it seems like your're stretching when you make the argument that 'maybe kr WANTS a random drawing'. don't you think, if they wanted that, they would have just skipped the scavenger hunt and had, i don't know, maybe, a random drawing or something~

and like tacune and others, i counted 134 pts. I've always been really bad at math, but if you had 133, it seems like that is a smaller number. it probably is that xtra friendship bracelet. And the guru DID say it was a typo and would be fixed, but i printed my final list off right before sending it in. it was still on there. so i took that to mean it would be a wise thing to send in 2, just to cover all the bases. u know? and i think these things make a difference.

but i'm nearly certain kr is not going to send anyone away empty handed. this is done to drive up excitement and buzz for the company, and they want to keep the loyal fans. i hope there is an AWESOME honorable mention award!

and i appreciate where you're at and if i had done a 'full' list and not a complete list, then i might be agreeing with you. that is why i took it to the next level so that i could avoid such a predicament. there are no hard feelings, and i wish you and all the best, enjoi.

just to be clear, i am not counting any eggs before they are hatched. I know there are a lot of people participating and not everyone is on the boards. and even fewer actually post, so i know there is a solid chance there might be more complete sets.

and i'm also concerned the award might end up going to the head of pr's cousin or something, u know? but I am counting on kr doing this to BUILD buzz and loyalty, so i feel comfortable nothing like that would happen.

but this scavenger hunt happened was good timing for me. i will probably never be in a place or position to do this again. and i don't think i need to tell you how much i like kr, both toys and apparel! so i totally geeked out on this, had a blast doing it, i know i've put forth my best effort, and now my fingers are crossed!

and, once again, i am NOT counting on ANYTHING at this point, but IF i do win the grand prize and tacune you do not finish in the top 3, i am going to hook you up with something mutually agreeable (its easy giving away what you don't have yet, right?). i would have died of lonliness on these boards if it weren't for you! and your stories kept me laughing! but i don't think that will happen, cause i'm pretty sure you are going to finish strong, too, and with a grand or so, i think you can still manage a few cool toys&gear!

That is so rediculious! i wonder if it was easyer this year? and katie(my fiance) said i have a been Mr. Grumpy grumps lately and that she is happy its over cause at least now im happier,... but i dont think i was angry tho i am getting more sleep now and a chance to send out all my ebay items.

the list was a lot easier this year which is why i got everything...as for the magnet i got that one handled last minute with a bit of creativity

and the winner last year did get the complete list- she was friends with someone who got her in to take a picture of the car

as far as multiples go trust me they mean multiples don't count- so a can of crystal pepsi and a cucumber pepsi still only counts as one checkmark

and as for the doritos i got buffalo bleu cheese kettle chips instead (closer to the actual wording)

I do hope that they give everyone with a complete list something cause i think its gonna come down to a random drawing this time and i think everyone who completed the list clearly deserves something for their dedication and investment =p
(anyone else spend a painful amount of money?)

WOW i wish i was on last years hunt too looks like that might have been harder, but this years items were a little more relateable for me i guess there were oonly a few items i didnt know at 1st like the Hoe sock and lazer disc. Sorry but im not 21 till may and i just wasnt old enough in the 80's tto remember all the stuff but that doesnt mean i cant appreciate it.

aww i see my package. its the one with the fake gucci hat and doctor's note for more vinyl and a picture of me next to an ugly doll. last year's list was harder in my opinion.

Hey wow thats great! I didnt see the photo section from last year, 3 of mine made it up there - My Munny design, my Simpsons doodling and my fake bag of Lil Romeo chips, I love the bear :lol:

Last year I only got 115 points but walked away with $100 which was awesome.

This year I got everything except the wall crawler and the Olive Garden mint - there are no Olive Gardens where I live. Comparing this years to last years, this year was way easier. I am sure there are many people who completed the list, congrats to you all! Now it all comes down to the luck of the draw.
