It makes sense. He didn't change the source material (Spongebob) enough to really make it his own. I thought the same thing.

Though this may sound a bit jacked up, KAWS makes it "his own" by merely touching it. Not that I think SBSP is his best work...

You can't say that, two X's and it's his style.

He needs a major new game plan.

Would you pay $20,000 for a SBSP painting? (with two X's)

He did the exact same thing with Gargamel from the Smurf paintings and his original take on Pipo-Kun.

the point i was trying to make was with the eyes.

the pipo has no white eyes, just the X's... that, to me, is a lot better looking than the gargamel that has white eyes, with an X over them.

this point was one of the huge reasons why i hated the hasheem. the zooth dogs have this style as well, but they are nice looking, as a whole.

i just hope that he has more than spongebob stuff at this miami showing.... they will sell, no matter what, but they are just dreadful looking =\

Does Anyone know what the set of Kaws JPP (black and yellow) is worth these days? I see a bunch on the bay, but it seems as though no one is biting on them for the $350 price tag they are asking.

Good points, although the art market will determine.

What all do you have??
I if own everything up to date minus the 4 footers I would say your looking anywhere from $25k-$30k
Add $5k-$7k for each 4 footer
Good Trader Testimony Stats Just look at page 1, says it all. Been here since the beginning.

question...i've been doin some searching on here and on ebay...

is it safe to say $1000 is a fair price for the 5yl and dissected companions? minus the gid, they seem to run considerably lower.
