they attempted selling fake fraud forged shepard fairey paintings over a year and a half ago but were quickly called out by og and banned. then it seems they decided toy collectors were an easier bunch to rip off.

no....straight up, i'm not trying to be aggressive (which is new for me). i'm just trying to get good people's ish to them and try to save boston's rep (not art asylum boston - boston). But that is in no way saying that i am not fully capable of defending myself if i feel threatened.
If all goes well, i'll peacefully leave with a lot of owed merchandise and have a terrible day at the post office monday.

Nothing i can do. I'm not a cop, and i don't call cops. I'm not going to instigate some kind of a situation that's going to compromise my friend's or my own safety. I'm not above saying some non-threatening true statements though, worded however i want.

I'm hoping that whoever is available to speak to will realize that this is an easy way to right some wrongs and will be calm and respectful, as i will no doubt be.

Big ups to Fail for his efforts, but I don't think he has anything either... his whole game is a charade based around selling stuff that he has no plans to deliver, so why pay to get those goods in the first place. I will be REALLY surprised if he has a retail space, let alone one that would be open at a normal time like Saturday afternoon.

But if it turns out that they're being unreasonable, just call the cops on them before you leave. You don't have to get involved, just let em know a little bit about what's going on. Maybe they're already looking for this guy and you'd be helping them out by calling.

Dude, there doesn't look like ish is going on there, it took me forever to even find the damn place. I'm going back tomorrow during the day, maybe i'll be able to get more info or be able to get into the building. Gonna have a few wealthy friends try to set up "consultations" this week and see where that leads.

You know what the funniest thing is? Dude's address is legit right across the street from a juvie court.

I'm gonna eat dinner, I'll let you guys know what happens tomorrow.

I met him briefly in Boston during the Star Wars show he put on last year sometime ... seemed kind of butterfinger but whatever. Was going to try and talk to him about doing some collaboration with him to help build a boston vinyl/art scene and then I did some googling and backed away slowly.

Rule of thumb ... never pay by wires, always use credit cards. Even if you pay with paypal use your credit card because if they won't refund your money your credit card company usually will.

Yeah sort of expected that judging from google maps street view, though there seems to be decent shops in front of that "alley".

Mine won't. Better check what your credit card company's policy is first.
Pre-order was months before the release, and then the scammer let the transaction drag on for a few more months with emails and excuses, narrowing any chance of getting a refund.

also, don't feel bad about filing police reports. i'm filing mail fraud charges here in ohio tomorrow, since he sent me some checks that crossed state lines. fraud charges will make it impossible for him to ever file for bankruptcy.
