Hey guys, it's been a while. I recently moved into a smaller place so I've been looking into what to sell. I picked up one of those 10th anniversary wood-like pieces of crazy Michael a few years back when they couldn't get rid of them. They sat around for months/years at around $100. Looking at completed listings on eBay to price things out, a few have sold for $600+. When did that happen? Was there news he only made a few of each or something? Lau prices were always all over the board, but that seems kind of crazy...

hey K, good to see you back.. its indeed been a roller coaster ride on ML pricing.. personally i have seen a few sold for as little as HK600 on yahoo HK so its anybody guess on the right price.. it would probably be better off to list a high price on ebay to let buyers offer a pricing that is reasonable in your opinion then second guessing what the right price to sell.. good luck selling them!

Thanks, OR! I haven't decided what all to part with but if those are going for half that, I'd be more than happy. Meant to respond earlier but the board seemed to be having a lot if issues at the time. Crazy how much this place has slowed down in general.

^ Great pictures. Good to see new Lau collections progressing well.

The worst part about collecting Lau is when you try and finish sets, only then do you realise how many figures he has released over the years

Thanks man.
I know that feeling!
Quite happily ploughing my way through the Gardeners but the last few NY/LA Fats are proving to be a bit illusive! :(

lol one of those SFCC f'kers eluded me for years, but like everything Lau, find the final piece and then they appear weekly for life and the value drops 99%.

Ok I'm setting up an Lau exchange next week. Have a few doubles and would rather exchange them for pieces I don't have, rather than put them on eBay. I'll put them up here. (Give me a year)

Dear friends,
I am very new to Michael Lau and I am really fascinated by his imagination. I understand why people call him the GOD of designer toy genre.

I fell in love with his Crazy Children Series 2 and decided to collect the series. Can someone help me with
1- The retail prices of the figures in the set
2- Are there fake versions specifically for this series? Anything I should be very careful about?
3- Their estimated current aftermarket values, including the secret 'Mr Lau' figure which is put together by the pieces that come with all the other figures

May the force be with you all
Thor

The only one I can kind've answer on here is point 2.
I don't believe there's been bootlegs of Crazy Children 2 or if there are then I've never come across any luckily.
I've had the misfortune of scoring some bootlegs of other pieces so buy wisely ;)

Some of the other guys have been doing this a lot longer than me so could answer the retail price for sure.

As far as the 'aftermarket' price goes there's still some people on eBay that think the prices should still be as high as they used to be like some 6" gardeners for £200ish.
I found if you bide your time and then piecs you want will pop up at prices you are happy to pay ;)

Have fun and happy hunting

Andy

thank you all for your replies.. I hope someone here knows the retail prices and the current values of these figures. Since I have zero eperience with ML, I just don't want to take ebay prices as proper reference

Also, there are 2 versions of the Junkie figure and 4 versions of the Boy D figure
