Does anyone know where to order the individual Poppin' Apples? I think the preorders are sold out but don't they usually come up for sale again as online stores get them in stock?

Been thinking about picking up one of the WWR figures, but they're quite costly, so having trouble pulling the trigger without seeing them in person.

Hello!

I recently found out about the Ashley Wood/3A figures, and thought they might be good for making stop motions. So I was wondering if any of you guys have used them for that? And how good are they at holding poses, and if there are certain characters that are better at posing than others? For instance, I really like the look of Yoshitsune but I read that his body is really floppy while the Underverse TK Ninja have a really good body for posing.
Hopefully someone's still around this thread that can answer. :)

This might get people talking

Their display at the Thailand Toy Expo. Not a huge display but yet a bunch of new stuff. I'm not going to post any pics of the female figures, you can head over there to see those.

Bots; I'm *guessing* 3AGO scale just to irritate us

This guy; it's been so long, I've forgotten it's name. With the cape draped over it, it looks so much better:

I think I need to see him open:

And then the big surprise, at least to me, since this is one of his old promises broken, about not doing X at Y scale ever:

Those WWR bots look quite nice, even the Large Martin. Do you happen to know if this are coming in 1/6 scale?

24" tall robot, figure and comic for $280; still available on Bamba, 38 days later

Image

24" tall robot and figure; $588, more than double; coming soon for ordering

Image

I like it, but not for more than double. I guess he only has to make half as many. I wonder how long it will stay up

^These will be a limited affair when the sales are all said and done, and I believe that. Not limited like the drop will be one hour,.. but I mean the actual number of owners.
The price point and choice of colorways, even with the first ever 3A offered deposit/payment plan, will take so many people out of the market for one.
I'd love to get one but even though I can find things to like about the deathmask hack, the whole black w/ skull motif is not my first choice. Same thing with the orange and white Vali,... In all honesty I'm not sure exactly what I want,... maybe just a nice complex, layered rust paint job with a couple mortis logos and a red badbot eye. Either way,... If I'm paying $500+ then I need to love every single centimeter of it.

What lame colors and execution for the TK hunter. The earlier yellow photos looked way better.

I thought this piece was going to be one of my must-buys in when was that schedule? dec 2014 wasn't it? Couldn't have ended up further from the truth. Easy pass especially at that price. They really phoned it in on this one.

TK club info has come and gone already. If you missed it, and could legit qualify, I think you missed out.

The free fig is shipping already to those that confirmed eligibility.

Not great, unless you've got OG figs, Con exclusives, LTD or secret drops.

From super excited to no sale in seconds

WWRp scale; newest Sh!tty 9 set

Image

So if the Ghost Horse and Blind Cowboy were $145, these have to be cheaper than that, right?

Nope.

$163 USD.

To me, the Ghost Horse is an expensive set because of new steel tooling that has to be made to put it out. This set, just the gun and the hat (or hat/head if the hat is non-removable) are the only new parts, right? The ghillie suit looks super cheap.

I'll do without.

Can't post a direct link to the blog or goodsmile shop as they have the word sh!tty in the link; check out the blog if you want a clickable link to the goodsmile listing

EDIT - I found the old link to the WWR scale Frank and Snippy page on Bamba

But the horse is a single cast piece and this has many more moving parts, it's not just about scale that goes into the pricing equation.

Horse = brand new mold/tooling. Takes up a large space in the steel; potential to not fit other items onto that same tooling.

Bertie = existing mold/tooling.

Known plenty of people in the industry over the years. No way that Goodsmile two pack, as is, costs more than the horse and cowboy from a moving parts standpoint, guaranteed.

What I don't know is how many orders they're expecting to fill of either; a smaller print run is the only reason I can fathom.

----------------------------

Regardless, prices have gone up significantly. The Hunter sale is the most dramatic of the price increases. On the AP front, we're looking at $20 higher on average for these singles vs the previous wave. I expected DAG to cost significantly more but not the rest.

My opinion, their costs haven't gone up so much as their sales are down. They're having to charge more now because they're not expecting to sell as much. Either people are tired of Ashley's ideas or his attitude over the years. Look at this thread as a microcosm. Used to be bustling with activity and now it's dead. Look ebay prices. Time to take advantage of the "Legion" that are still around and will to pay whatever it costs.

Stick a fork in 'em!

the bamba APs I can slightly understand since last time they did an AP wave figures were $45+shipping. And shipping was always $15-20 minimum. But they are still $65 for the retail wave. That's where the screwing really happens to the customer.

From a retailer's perspective, I sure hope the profit margin is a good chunk of the extra $20. I have friends in the retail realm, and they'd MAYBE make $8 on a 1/12 figure after getting their store's order shipping from HK. It wasn't really worth the warehouse space or hassle.

And yeah, that goodsmile set..... :axe:
