Any helpful tips on collecting kidrobot toys?

I live in England so will this affect anything because most of their vinyl toys are made in America?

Would be a big help :D :D

I'm starting to collect Androids Series 2 and mini kidrobot key chains?
Can you answer some these questions if that's all right.

1. I have one android and two KR keychains which one should i try and complete first?

2. How much money should I spend on buying urban vinyl?

3. Cheapest shop to buy urban vinyl in Birmingham or London?

4. Where can I get sets that were made in the past?

It would help allot if you could take the time to answer these questions :D

1. Buy what you like. Don't complete sets for the sake of completing sets. Don't buy for resale value. Many of them don't resell very well.

2. Whatever you can afford. Like with any addiction, if it is taking so much of your money that you can't buy gas, food, or take care of anything you need to take care of, it is time to stop. Get your life in control. Spend whatever extra you have. Someone people spend thousands, some buy a couple blind boxes here and there.

3. Cant help you with that. I believe there is a KR London.

4. Past items can be found here in the Items for Sale forum or on Ebay. Other vinyl/toy based forums probably have a sale section too.

Good luck and welcome.

If you live in Birmingham and Birmingham has a Forbidden Planet then try there. The prices for blind boxes are pretty much the same whatever shop you go to (in my experience). If you're ordering online then it pays to shop around because some places charge ridiculous P&P.

Hey Jason1
Welcome to the boards! =)

For vinyl in London:

KR London: they stock alot more than the EU website, including books and back stock. They also carry from time to time other artists vinyl such as Kaws and Buff monster and another plus is the staff are really helpful and friendly.

About 15 Mins walk from KR is playlounge (which have a website) They stock ThreeA, Domo, Qee and much more, as well as offering to order things from as far a field as Hong Kong. They also do an excellent job of tracking down hard to find items.

About 5 Mins walk from KR is Forbidden Planets London flagship store, in terms of vinyl they have older stock of dunnys (all of there blindbox dunnys are more expensive by a few pounds) as well as lunartik, deadmau5, omi and quite a few others.

About 10 Mins walk from KR you have Orbital Comics, they have a very small selection of vinyl including unboxed dunnys, frank kozik labbits and some larger 8" dunnys all at fair prices.

If you are in London at some point drop me a pm and i'll see wether im about =)
