Kiiro Scavenger Hunt

Kidrobot's going green this year. Instead of sending stuff to Kidrobot Headquarters in trees, snap photos of your work and upload the images online.

This forum is a place to discuss your progress with the "Rollin' Stock" Photo Scavenger hunt. PLEASE NOTE: Hunt ends June 14. Winners will be announced June 18 at Kidrobot.com

And idk what to do about the wacky wall walkers.
Actually the Ode is a pain and where do i find olive garden mints i dont even remember them having chocolate mints.

you can prob just go to an olive garden and ask the front desk or go to the bar and ask the person to give you a mint. i really dont see why not. it's just an andes mint.

they've always had em. they give it to you witht he check. I love them. i love andes mints =D if people need one PM me and i can prob go get some. FYI i'm NOT doing the scavenger so i'd be more than happy to oblige.

Kind of random, but I remember there being an article in Giant magazine that mentioned KR (not an advertisement.) It's how I first heard about KR, so it's probably the one from either my join date or the month before. Check the library, sometimes they have old magazines and I doubt anyone will care if you swipe the 2 pages.

Someone mentioned needing a hose sock -- Payless usually has boxes of them sitting around the store and at the front.

Good luck everyone! I'm not even going to try this, lol. You people are brave.

I'm pretty sure you have to be unemployed and also have a large sum of cash in order to win this scavenger hunt, and I don't qualify for either of those :doubt:

[ Added: Wed Mar 19, 2008 11:19 am ]
Anyways, I hope at least the GURU can read this... I think that the item crystal pepsi and cucumber pepsi is an unfair object for the scavenger hunt. We all know where to get it (ebay) and the few people who possess the soda are beginning to figure out it's worth the the people participating in the scavenger hunt and are cashing in on it. Basically, it sort of feels that now, the person who gets all the points in the hunt would have shelled out alot of money mainly for the pepsi container. This is unfair to those who do not have the finances to spend around $100 or more on a can of soda. I don't mean to be a sour, but thats just how it feels.

it is true that rare stuff such as the pepsi is gonna be a decider for the contest, but if they didnt have it, there would be alot of ties cause everyone would be able to acquire the common stuff

and i have yet to get the crystal pepsi :doubt:

the cucumber pepsi should take the win
i dont know how anyone will get their hands on that

to shye112-

yes it is hard to get, but not at all unfair. if everything could be aquired easily, it wouldn't be much of a scavenger hunt.

and I don't know, but I'm pretty sure that kidrobot was not trying to make it exclusive, only for those who can afford to buy one, but who can find all this random popular culture stuff that we all remember, but the key is who hung onto what was a month ago, junk.
albeit nostalgic junk.

as for the price crystal pepsi is going for on the auctions, I bet every single person bidding on them right now is doing the scavenger hunt, and driving those outrageous prices! if it weren't for the auction, the cans of crystal pepsi would be selling for a few bucks or not at all. a few timely sellers are getting really lucky. i did a search on yahooshopping for crystal pepsi and there was a link for a 2-liter bottle for $14. But the link was bad and i couldn't figure out how to get it. and according to tacune, some lonely cans sat on a shelf at some restaurant in LA for the past 15 years~

i am trying to help others out, and I already got my can so I will tell you there are many more options than the bay. To get my can, I searched yahooshopping, amazon, the internet, pepsi collectible sights (they collect memorabilia, not cans, for some reason i find this odd) online. then i made posts on craigslist and the 'items wanted' on the board. then I got desperate and called the local and national pepsi bottling plants (absolutely nothing, but they keyed me onto some more unsuccessful collectible clubs). Phew! then, i recieved a email from a board member who had a can, wasn't doing the hunt, and hooked it up (many thanks and once again, respect to tyrone!). It cost me a s3 blind box dunny. I also got a cragslist response, but it didn't work out (the person didn't have it as thought or I would pass the info on)

I'm posting this to help you guys out. the best bets I would recommend would be posting a want add somewhere. and start asking everyone you know. I ask people and they look at me like I'm crazy. I'm fine with that and doing what it takes to move forward.

hope this helps- I've also got some trade stuff listed. check it out. I think I am going to start an official trade thread so everyone can use it and hopefully the text blanking out will be solved.

happy hunting!
