Banksy was a writer for years but opted for stencils because they were faster. If you've read the books of his that you have, then you would know that.

No matter how many writers tell you that banksy is regarded as toy scum by writers, you hold onto opinions fed to you in a movie theater. I hope some little d-bag who isn't famous tags up all of your houses so you can have a nice, private dinner of your own words.
What I don't understand is that you are assuming that everyone formed their opinion of Banksy based on Exit...on top of that you are TELLING us that that we should be forming our opinions based on what writers are saying.
Don't believe everything you see and don't believe what you are told.....but you SHOULD believe what you are told if what you're being told, is being told to you by by "writers".
Which one is it? You can't have it both ways. And a writer has just come in and basically proved your argument wrong again. Beyond Team Robbo, who is it? Are they just lurking on this message board or are they all over on some Montana Gold forum talking about nozzle sizes? Either way that's not really the conversation we're having here. You're more than welcome to start a Graf Writer or Team Robbo thread, but don't claim to be speaking for a larger community when you really aren't.
It's cool that you have your opinion on Banksy and everyone else has theirs, but telling people what to believe based on YOUR beliefs is just absurd. You claim to be speaking for a larger community but it sounds to me like it's just a group of writers who couldn't make a name for themselves for whatever reason and holding a grudge against Banksy is the ONLY way to get publicity...which is ALL Robbo has. That's the saddest part of it all - Robbo hates what Banksy has become but he sure was quick to sign on to do that gallery show at Signal. If you haven't seen the exhibit by now here's a quick peek at the stunning pieces that Robbo had available for purchase. Yep, now that he has publicity thanks to his self-serving Banksy feud, he's selling screen prints for £80 a pop.

All graff writers despise street artists....until they want to make some money and start having gallery shows. The hypocrisy of it all is astounding.
There are no rules, so stop pretending that there are.
