My friends sister owns a large hand painted wood panel by Amy. Her work is beautiful.

Here is some of her work for her upcoming solo at Mondo Bizzarro in December. She's experimenting with some other mediums.

I am really loving her new watercolors and her drawing at thinkspace in November looks amazing. Does anybody else though feel like moving away from the wood panels is a bad idea?

oh, it's only a temporary thing. she wanted to change things up. she should be back to the wood panels for her next solo.

as arrested motion wrote:

This particular show is an "illustration" show, the reason she is painting on paper is because all the pieces are gouache watercolor. she's definitely not going to stop working on wood, she's already started some pieces for her show in late 2009 that are all paintings on wood.

Marcus posted a short interview he did with Amy here about the show.

Here's an excerpt:

“in these scenes there is a lot of water and unpredictability.. alot of popping and flowing and semi-destruction. but it’s never a bad destruction because things always grow back. just like in a dream, you eventually wake up.. and when things die, things grow back. i think that’s what this one’s about.”

Here are some of the pieces

amy's last images are dreamy alright. those palettes are so soft and everything is really light. it's cool to see art that's not heavy handed and is so easy on tha eyes.

hey all,

selling amy's latest two prints from february.

"sleeping smoke"
&
"we found ourselves being dreamt"

don't have the wall space and they're just sitting in the tube that they came in since day one.

selling them at a reasonable price and will give a good price for both. :)

From Amy's blog:

summertime prints :)

two new prints, "trampoline" and "dust wings" (below) are being prepared to be released sometime this month.
"trampoline" will be a larger print at 100 edition and "dust wings" will be smaller in size at 300 ed. we are hoping to have them ready within the next two weeks.

It'd be nice to know how much they are.... but they're being released in about 13 hours. I might try for one how about you guys?

I guess both you and I will find out  I'm only going for the least expensive print since it's my favorite design of the two.
