Murakami Prints
Hi All, first time poster. I am looking to buy some Murakami Prints and was hoping you guys would be able to assist me. To start what are some common things to spot out for fakes? I found some at a store called GiantRobot out here in LA, anybody purchase from them before? I might just purchase from them. Lastly, do Murakami prints come with COAs?
Thanks in advance!

Re: Murakami Prints
They do not come with COA. All print as far as I know are numbered (x/300 I think) and signed by the artist. If you buy from a gallery then the gallery can make a gallery certificate saying its authentic. You can buy from Gallery Perrotin, I think they are located in France, not sure how much shipping will cost since the box for the prints are a bit wide yet thin.

Re: Murakami Prints
not sure if Murakami print values are way down ..but the number put out in the market definitely slowed down any price appreciation for now. plenty on the market for the original poster to choose from. just don't try to save $50 by buying from some sketchy ebay ad. lots to be had $900-$1500

Also don't forget to think about the framing costs!!! Bought a huge Murakami for a good price from MCA Chicago only to be told that the frame cost about the same as the print ($600+). FML.
