How do you guys figure shipping costs? Do you include the cost of the following:

1) Postage
2) Box
3) Packaging, i.e bubble wrap, peanuts, etc.

OR just postage?

I don't want to lose money but also don't want to over charge either. Thanks for looking.

A lot of people re-use boxes/bubble wrap and all that stuff from prior packages (at least I know I do if it's in good condition). Most of the time if I need to buy a box it costs anywhere from a 1.50 to 5 dollars at the most from a shipping/packaging supply store. If you're in SoCal, there's a place called Box City that has multiple sizes for boxes and different packing material for cheap prices.

I'd say if you have to buy a specialty box (large or oddly shaped) I'd add 5-7 bucks if you are really inclined to do so. If it's a normal sized box or small. I usually don't charge to grab a box because at most it cost me like 2-3 dollars to do it.

Hope that helps

Ok, I only add on extra for the box if I have to go out to buy one. If I have one around I won't charge for anything and nothing for packing. Thanks.

yea that sounds like a good call. Not everyone has to do it, but a couple bucks here are there isn't going to break the boat to me (as a seller) so that's the policy I go by.

Shipping always gets me confused too.
Hopefully shipping wouldn't cost a fortune for some of the vinyls that I want to buy :axe: :axe:

I don't care for high shipping costs, because of better packaging.
The German Post likes to demolish my international shipments.

One time the German Customs opened my package and destroyed the box of the figure.
Just sliced through with their knife.
