I have absolutely no clue where i should post this topic so i just did it here

(if its the wrong place, tell me and I will delete it.)

I want to start customizing dunnys/munnys/etc. But I have absolutely no clue what kind of stuff I need for that. Do i need to paint them first? Do i paint them or use markers on them? Pencil lines first or just doodle straight away and color after? are there any special things i need to think of?
