Tips on how to tape off a straight line on a 4" Munny Arm?

Hi all. I've recently gotten into this and it's pretty fun. I got some good plastic/vinyl primer and some Montana Gold spray paints and stuff is looking great so far. I had an idea that I would paint the arms of my 4" Munny the lighter "hand" color, then use Frog Tape painter's tape to cover up the hand with a nice clean line and paint the UPPER part of the arm the darker "clothing" color.

Anyway, long story short, this tape is supposedly great but given that I'm wrapping it around a circular object (arm circumference) it doesn't go straight and I get crinkles that would allow paint in.

How does anyone else go about doing this?
