Hey all! I was wondering if anyone can recommend a matte varnish that will protect my custom munnys from scratches. I usually wash, sand, prime and then paint my munnys with fluid acrylics(utrecht and golden.) I've tried using krylon matte varnish, but it doesn't help much, especially around the joints. I've looked around in the archives and I haven't found anything on matte varnishes. I'm really just looking for some kind of affordable, easily attainable varnish that will protect my munny.

I've also been working on a GID munny and I've been building onto it with apoxie sculpt. Is it necessary to prime the apoxie or should I just start painting? Any and all help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

i use a varnish by grumbacher. comes in matte and gloss. and i'm not too sure about the epoxy but i would prime it just to be safe. i don't think it would hurt and it would allow the paint to stick better

I use liquitex varnish that I will either brush on or use with my airbrush.
