Hugh Rose's False Idols Series 1: Sky Monkeys

Hello All,

In association with Screaming Sky Gallery, I would like to present the first series of Hugh Rose's False Idols!

Sky Monkeys are rare creatures, and each one can be found in certain corners of the world, where the right kind of tree grows and when the weather is just right. Entrenched in the mythology and folklore of their place of origin, Sky Monkeys embody the ancientness of the natural landscape and the subtle forces that still dwell there...

Introducing "Hugh Rose's False Idols (series one): Sky Monkeys" available exclusively through Screaming Sky Gallery! Hugh Rose has created this amazing blind boxed set of 7 four inch custom munny characters which will go on sale Tuesday March 20th at 12 (noon) PST.

Each box includes a hand made book with images of the complete set and character mythology, wood shavings to scent the piece and packaging, and a matching wood block with character background.

Ha ha, thanks I'm glad you like it! And it seems that a lot of people agree with you, as I always get a much better response from my more character-based work, rather than the trippy, pattern-based stuff. False Idols is all about making a cast of characters that tells a story, so this project should be right up your street!

It would have been great to have seen this on the 8" Dunny platform.

Maybe one day! Cheap 8" Dunnys are pretty hard to come by at the moment!

got mine today... won't say which one because I don't want to ruin the surprise for folks who haven't got their sky monkey yet... will say they are wonderful
