Blind Tea Lady

Post by Lword » Mon Jan 15, 2007 2:14 pm

On Vinyl Pulse.

The latest in the new minitreehouse series is Blind Tea Lady (formerly the "Beggar"). What a cool new sculpt! I'm really excited to see what other figures are going to be in this line. I'm always amazed by the original new sculpts that Nathan puts out. It's so refreshing, in a world of platform toys, to see some originality.

City Folk.

Post by fugazi_1984 » Mon Jan 22, 2007 4:41 am

...amazing work!

She's from Nathans blind boxed "City Folk" series (available approx. mid March...
...hopefully at the Outre exhibition!).

There are 13 in total, "Blind tea lady", "The beggar", "Glassblower", "Schoolgirl"
"Air Fresh" (possibly all working names?)...and others.

...really looking forward to these...I hope they do Mono versions!

Wow  The quality on these looks amazing, especially given that they're minis. I'll definitely be picking up all of these. I particularly love the blind tea lady and the two figures to the left. :)

Nice job, Nathan!! When I 1st saw the sculpt for the tea lady, I asumed it was a larger figure, given the form & detail. These minis look great! (Given that, I still hope this series has some larger figures associated with it, as well.)

these are just beautiful. I especially like the glass blower.
I like how there's a narrative to your Scarygirl releases.

Just part of why I love Nathan's work so much. A good story can really add so much to a design.

That would indeed make for a nice large piece. It could happen, much like what they're doing with the mini-treehouse figures.
