SDCC 07 Strangeco previews...

Post by mrmonkey » Mon Jul 30, 2007 8:20 am

pete has some amazing figures releasing later on. the big vinyl is beautiful...i'm sure many of us have already seen that. however, there were protos of the new mini vinyl set. i think it's vol. 4 - pet's & their owners.

they will be sold in two packs, the pet and owner. i don't have any pictures to upload at the moment though. hopefully someone who was there and also saw the protos, that took pictures can post them later?

soooo excited for the new pieces!!!

When I saw those I just about peed my pants. I don't think that's all of them though; I think someone may have gotten their hands in the cookie jar.
If you ever see this record on vinyl, I'll buy it from you: Firestarter(ex Teengenerate)

those were all the pieces strangeco had for the convention displayed. i'm hoping there are more to the set.

i think the eta was something like this winter perhaps? not positive though.

You are correct; we did not have all of Monsterism Vol 4 in the case. These are prototypes, and some of them have special features that made the protos a bit more difficult to display. But, if these hand-painted versions look as good as they do, I can't wait to see the production pieces! There are 8 sets of 2 figures (1 pet and 1 owner per set). They are all really cool.

We also displayed the new giant Van Orlax vinyl figure, Mark James's Cardboy CMYK sets and Klong by Simon Henwood (which is being re-released in new packaging).

We will have more info on availability for all of these lovelies shortly. Just check our site in the next couple of weeks.

And - credit where credit is due: Playbeast is producing these; we are distributing them here in North America. They make awesome stuff and we're happy to be representing them over here.

I feel silly posting your own link, but the photo is up now:

Oh, it won't let me post a link. Just go to Strangeco's site.

OK, wow. Super damn cool. The high standard of Vol 3 continues with this set. Psych.

I can't ait for these to come out. Thequality on series 3 was top notch and these look likethey are just as good. Will they be in scale with the series 3?

I assumed that was Gruff, too. I wondered if Foul Owl was a kind of self portrait, too?

Can't wait for these!
