Did anyone go to the Designer Toy Summit? I haven't seen any coverage on it and was curious how it was.

The only things I've found are under the hashtag #Designertoysummit on instagram. looked like a really small show. not a ton I'd personally be interested in

I see photos of vendor booths or photos taken by vendors. I sure don't see any pictures of crowds or any raw excitement. Looks like a flop, but that's not very surprising.

Paul, that's an unfair comparison. There's definitely more tumbleweed than there probably were people

Sorry, this one might be more accurate since there's only two people in it, one of whom is effing it up:

Any thoughts on why it didn't do better? Was it poor organization, over saturation, or just first year growing pains? Does this bode poorly for Curio Con?

poor location + lack of A-list exhibitors = no motivation for people to show.

And the proof that first year growing pains isn't the issue, look at 5points. Better location, lots of A-listers showing up.

CurioCon will do better simply because it's in LA and Aileen knows what she's doing.

CurioCon is doing everything in their power to blow it. We're literally a month out and there's no way to buy tickets, no vendor list, no schedule, nothing. It's almost as if it's not happening at all.
