So I sent her (Misterine's sister) a print a few weeks back. It took a while to get there b/c I sent it via media mail (aka snail mail). Anyway, she opened a dispute and then upped it to a claim, which I totally understand (even though I fully insured the item).

But here is where the transaction went SOUTH. While PayPal was looking over everything, the print arrived! So I'm happy, and ask her to close the claim. Well, after asking and asking (for over 2-3 days) she fails to close the claim, even though I warn her PayPal might freeze my account and try to take my money.

So today I wake up and find out my account is FROZEN until I pay back the money, even though she has the print.

I'm not going to make any accusations, but clearly this was a foul on her part.

At the moment, I am screwed. Thanks a lot!!!

thats why you always do a delivery confirmation and paypal will have YOUR back in this situation.

your sister does not have her facts straight. I received payment 8/13, and sent it 8/16. media mail is advertised as 2-9 days. is it my fault they lagged? your sister seems to think so. she has been very hard to deal with. she basically is blowing me off and saying this is my fault, that it is my problem to fix, even though she could have prevented this very easily.

misterine, I suggest you find another way to pay for items, b/c your sister is no good to deal with. and if she wants to buy something, I suggest she create her own user name instead of going through you.

Auto, shipping confirmation is like...35 cent or something, always have them to keep track of what you sented.

she needs her own user name.

but for the record, misterine himself has been really good to deal with, and very mature for his age (he's only 14).

too bad his sister is lame.

deliv confirmation does you no good in the paypal claim game. you have to have SIG CONF...which is about $1.55 per package, so it adds up.

p.s. deliv conf is $0.60, not $0.35.

and this sounds fishy to me, why didn't she say it was his sister in the first place?

I know better now. I print labels from home, and have a bunch of a certain kind of label that I was just trying to get rid of. basically, they don't allow for tracking. now I will only use the half page labels w/ delivery confirmation numbers. serves me right for trying to be frugal.

the sister did actually contact me after a couple of weeks. but I thought it was the same person. I too am suspicious, but only of the sister. I have already filed a fraud claim, so hopefully this is taken care of soon. I'll be calling paypal tomorrow.

this is absolutely ridiculous. she's refusing to let a paypal claim down because it got there later than she wanted it?

doesn't paypal have a stupid thing about how you can file a claim if it takes more than 7 days to ship an item?
