Toothless Uglies
Actually, you can't make toothless Uglies by just pulling the stitches out. The teeth are glued to the plush, not just stitched (I know from making my own red-toothed Wedgehead out of a regular one, since the real one's too expensive). If you try to make your own toothless Ugly, you'll end up with stretched-out, ruined teeth from having to yank them off, and spots of sticky, matted plush where the teeth were. If someone faked having a toothless Ugly, you'd know it. But I don't think toothless Uglies are that uncommon of a flaw anyway. I've seen a 14" Target and a 7" Gato Deluxe with no teeth before at two local stores.

The glue took us a long time to get right.
For the very early pre-2003 Uglys, Sun-Min
didn't use glue but then we would see
a puffy effect from time to time.
So we tried to find the glue she used after,
and finally got it right.
As for no teeth, it happens but
only sometimes, as in almost never.

Oh and you get them for the same price
because the store wouldn't think to
charge more for something just
because it's a little different, as
they are all different in some way
anyway, etc.

Update: Toothless Target
A funny and incredibly lucky update to the story of the toothless Target I mentioned earlier... Not only did I see a toothless Target in Rotofugi (Chicago, IL) about a year ago, but I actually briefly owned him. I didn't mention it before because I always wanted to kick myself for giving him up. I thought it was a dumb move on my part, so he was the "one that got away" for me for a long time. I bought him last June specifically because of his lack of teeth (oddly enough, no one else noticed until I pointed it out), but I returned him the next day because the stitching was coming undone on his eye and at the time, I didn't know how to fix it. In the past year though, I've become adept at repairing Uglydolls, which made me kick myself even more for returning him. Well, last Sunday I went to Rotofugi and took pity on a tagless Tray with a hole in her side. I mentioned to one of the employees that she had a hole and I felt bad so I was gonna buy her and fix her, and it apparently reminded him of something because he ran to the back room. He came back, and guess who he had? That same toothless Target! Apparently, he's been sitting unloved in the back room ever since I took him back, and since he knew I can fix them now, he just gave the toothless Target to me for free! So here's a toothless cousin for your toothless Chuckanucka, all fixed up and happy! Now if only I'd bought that toothless Little Uglys Gato Deluxe I saw around Christmas time! I know this story probably sounds unbelievable, but I swear by it and you can call Rotofugi. :-P

HAHAHA! BEST LUCK EVER!!!!!!
AWESOME! This is seriously the best luck I've EVER had! So I mentioned before that I saw a 7" Little Uglys Gato Deluxe with no teeth before. After seeing it, I called my partner and told her all about it and about how badly I wanted him, but it was a Thursday and I wasn't getting paid for another day. Well, I went to buy it the next day and he was gone! You know why? My partner gets out of work about 2 hours after I do, and while I was home waiting for her, she snuck over to the store after she got off work, bought him, and saved him for our 3-year anniversary! So not only did I -by some crazy miracle- score the toothless Target again, but the toothless Gato Deluxe is mine, too! Now if only someone has a 14" Chuckanucka that I can buy that looks like one I sold a couple months ago, I'll officially dub this the luckiest week ever!
