Kozik Chicago, Part Deux

Post by rotokirby » Wed Feb 16, 2011 11:55 am

It's been a little quiet over here, but I wanted to make sure everyone knew there's a new Kozik show opening at our gallery on Friday. As per usual, sign up for the preview list for first shot at art and prints here: http://previews.rotofugi.com

looks schweet! dig the Star Wars pieces 8) would love to see the white-on-white and black-on-black art in person.

the prices on the pieces that were shown at Billy Squire Fine Arts in L.A. last year have come down...Obligatory Low Brow Painting was 6K, less than half that now. wish i had the coin for a painting!

Some cool stuff, but I was hoping that the paper editions would be more numerous and a little cheaper - I would have done $100 for one of the Stormtrooper paper editions, but $200 was too much (especially considering that I got an original painting at his last Rotofugi show for about $400).

Wish I could be there. I bet that plexiglass stuff is pretty sweet in person.

Liked the Star Wars Stuff but I really loved the bronze Mao. Wish I had $4000.

man that bronze is sweet. +1 on wishing I had the money for it. I think I like the statue of liberty piece best in this show, hopefully there will be a paper edition down the line.
Psssst, wanna buy a fake Warhol?

The show is up on the website now, but if you're in the Chicago area I strongly encourage you to visit in person. Both the scale and the subtlety of some of these pieces just doesn't translate to photos...

Thanks to everyone who made it out last night, and of course, thanks to Frank for always being great to work with.
