Frank only recieved 8. He's keeping 2. Six are going to subbers. SBK has 4 slots (I believe), so they have a 4/30 * 6 chance of getting one, or 4/5.

If they end up with more than one, I'll be bummed, but that's the odds I suppose.

Not that I'm routing against them, but I really want one. :)

Who is this signedbykozik a-hole?

I hope they aren't affiliated with Frank. If so, that's dirty. I'm contemplating sending Frank $3000 tomorrow to become a subber, but this would really leave a sour taste in my mouth if signedbykozik is at all affiliated. I'm thinking they are though since on Ebay they have every release of his signed.

For the umpteenth time...

SBK is a subber. They have 4 slots. They pay Frank extra for signatures. They are local so he doesn't have to ship.

Most on the boards don't like them. Overall, they aren't bad people. They're just hustling like everyone else to live. They've just found a better market than most.

You attract more bees with honey than vinegar. If you are attempting to push and sell Kozik items, don't you think you should at least cut the snobbish BS when communicating with Kozik fans directly? After all, we are the business you should be busting your balls to acquire.

Kom I beg to differ with you. As with everywhere, there are a select few people here on the boards that may not like what we do and we get that. Totally understand it and have no problem with it however over the past few years, we have sold literally hundreds of Kozik things to Kidrobot board members, Skullbrain board members, Kozik poster people and fans of Frank himself. As far as I know nearly all have been satisfied with their purchase(s) and have said so on the website itself. Believe me, if any board member here or anywhere for that matter was not satisfied with what they bought from us, I know for a fact they would have complained here or any of the other boards. In doing what we do, the only person we feel we need to please is Frank. If we were rude, irresponsible and did not handle what we do in a professional type manner, Frank would not allow us to do what we do and we would have been cut off a long time ago.

+1

i'm sure they're good people... most kozik fans are. but it's that they are 'corporate' flippers.... taking goods they've gotten at below retail and jacking the price up. and they've made a company out of it.

trust... there's things i want on that site! but some of it is way overpriced, while some of it is decent or even pretty cheap.

they've basically turned frank into a store and they get his merch. at wholesale and mark it up a bunch. i think thats why people don't like em. i don't see why frank doesn't just do it himself... or hire them. make it official. he's a busy guy tho.

but they did get an exclusive beethoven bust, and it's my fave. so they can't be all bad haha.
cool people: frank kozik, locotoy, arcady, Danimalx, Kapi, pandabandit12, joemm,

I've received purchase from you. I appreciated the service. You hooked me up nicely. I've never said anything bad about you.

Let me re-phase my prior comment. Most (of the most vocal boardies) don't like them. There seems to be a general hatred towards their business model. I use their site mostly for photos and info. They get a lot more info then others.

I also have no problem with them getting stuff wholesale. Every retail outlet does, they just offer a slightly different model, with different access. Anyone else could replicate the model if they wanted. The drop over $12K a year with Frank for what they do. Are some prices high? Sure, but then again it's there's to do what they want. The high priced stuff doesn't sell, and they end up discounting it. They have a lot of risk. If the market ever collapses, they've got excessive inventory. But that is their decision.

Overall, as mentioned, they are just hustling to live. I sell medical devices, they sell signed smoking poop. Everyone's got there thing. If you don't like their prices, don't pay them.

Now if they end up with 4 Selfridge's Labbits, I'm personally flying to SF to kick someone's @SS. :)

Hopefully Frank might limit it to one per subber, no matter how many they have.
Spread the wealth a bit as it were, a bit of the ole socialism.

and anyway, its just a yellow labbit, all KR has to do is make one a few shades brighter or darker and this one is not quite as special.

I know that when KR put out the "glow" blue labbit It went a long way towards waiting till I could get the SDCC powder blue labbit cheaply, which I did.

The price is way out of line on this piece as it is, Selfridges may sell out, but i honestly don't see the resale price being that much higher in the future, after all a Black Bones labbit just sold for $80 on the bay.
.
anyway, ive had a beer too many.

Just grabbed one for a boardie on here...dude at Selfridges said I was the third person to buy one! He thought KR should have done more to push it but whatever...at £160 a pop I'm not entirely sure what they were expecting.

There's about 4 out on display, one of which is getting nice finger marks over it and a further 10 or so piled up in a clear perspex box so they'll get nicely marked too. You'd think for a £160 piece they'd take better care of them #-o I'd assume they're part of the 100 run although I hope they're extra 'display' versions.

That said the box is really nicely done - it has slightly embossed areas on it the "& Co" part of the name and also a little white Labbit.

Perhaps. I'm not much of a complete-ist though. If I get hard-up for a canary yellow labbit down the road, I may just paint my own.

.. and this is exactly the issue, SBK. Once a person goes from collector to collector-dealer, things change - you can't hop on message boards and be a jerk in any capacity because people are watching, always. And then it becomes PR not for you but for your business. There are A LOT of people here that run stores, obviously, but most of them don't mix their business with the comments they make. Personally I've had good service with you when buying things, but there are a few things you have that I'd love but the price is just too high. I understand that when you're the only person with something, you can set your own prices, but there's a magic spot to be in between where 1) you're nothing but excited for someone's business, you'll do what you can to make it happen, 2) prices are really very negotiable and you *want* to work with people which lets 3) you make up the difference in quantity sold. Right now SBK is a place that most people go to buy something from because it's the only option. But you would sell so much more if that wasn't the case - if you were the face of Frank Kozik (unoficially) and people had the impression they were somehow supporting the artist and not a flipper who happens to pay off the artist. I'm not saying that's what you are - you're not. But obviously the impression of many people who read these posts (and as seen above don't post until they have FU to say)- is closer to flipper than friendly extension store for the artist's work.

...this is just friendly advice.

In getting back to the topic....somewhat.

For all those familiar with Howard Stern and "Eric The Midget/Actor", the term "0.0" is a familiar one.

In keeping with that, those subbers who were concerned should know that SBK received from Frank a grand total of:

0.0 Selfridges

For those subbers that get one, CONGRATS! Saw it today and it is really cool!
