Dunny/Munny statues

Post by DMS » Fri Apr 04, 2008 4:31 am

Thinking of doing a dunny statue, by making a mold of one and then casting it in plaster/stone and customizing it to look like a stone statue.

Has anyone heard of this being done before and legally would this be ok to sell (doubt it) or give away? I know people must remold dunnys etc for the clear ones you see for sale.

Main reason for wanting stone rather than stone looking vinyl is so these could actually be statues you could have in your garden without them blowing away!

Cheers

Could you fill the dunny/munny with sand or plaster or something if you're afraid of them blowing away?

Good point!

Should be able to fill up body and head with plaster, it does heat up when it sets, hopefully not enough to disfigure the dunny.

Nope! The plaster I use heats up enough to deform the munny as it's setting.

Back to the drawing board!
