Re: Wild Life
Nick delivers an amazing analysis, as per usual!trustpigs wrote: ↑Tue Feb 06, 2018 10:12 amIt's a pretty spectacular series overall! Though some of my personal favorites are those by Igor Ventura, but that just might be the English major in me speaking. Want to check them out? Well, here ya go…

Re: Wild Ones
If you aren't familiar with Sharon Park or the so-called Korean goblins known as dokkaebi, then perhaps you need some backstory to understand her inclusion in the Wild Ones. And hopefully my newest article will be helpful for those in need!

Well, my case had neither chase. I guess that's the blind box game though.
The ones I did get are killer though. Love this series!

Re: Wild Life
Case layout for those who are interested..
First is top layer positioned exactly as in the case

Second is bottom layer

Overall...very pleased with the sculpts and designs. Think I’ll still search for the Napoleon and bloody Stroll too. Pretty sure the Hype Death sculpt is my favorite in a long time

Re: Wild Life
I cant get over how good the Aries Dunny is, it sends such a great message about conformity.
This series is just brilliant, again, its a shame there is no big name from the art scene, but other than that I love it. Its obvious a lot of work has gone into making sure the quality is just top notch.

I really wish they made a Stroll 8" release. Kono the Yeti looks quite similar to the Kronk series.

Re: Wild Life
I like this series but there are no longer any local stores that carry dunnys, so cherry picking can't happen. The cases of 24 with so many dupes make buying a case not an option. Ordering bIind boxes from KR in the past has resulted in usually close to 50% dupes. I notice there are few from this series on ebay or in the forum's Items for Sale. There are also scarce layouts shared. The two layouts that were shared were not good at all. I am guessing dunny sales are not so great these days. I once bought every series but I have skipped the DTA, Mishka, Andy Warhol 2, Batman, Scared Silly, and now Wild Ones series, due to the price, case size, and dupes. Fixing this and bringing us back would be an easy fix. Just fodder for thought on a quiet thread.

Re: Wild Life
I snagged a couple of blind boxes from Rotofugi this past weekend. Managed to get a Stroll and a Hype Death, which outside of the Dokkaebi and Squink pieces were the main ones I wanted. Great sculpts on both of them! I might snag some more, but the fear of dupes is definitely an issue. I got 8 of the same tomato soup cans from the second Warhol series...

Nice series of Dunnys.
Vapdee was Me, now I am just a tree extending its branches to be there for others while my roots are properly buried.

I believe those are the 8" colorways. I still regret not buying that custom 3" pink version he made by hand...
