You know what the worst part of this is, the dude was one of the best custom artists out there. His work is so damn clean it's insane. I hate that we lost such a great artist because he just couldn't balance his life :( I'd like to be mad about being out so much money but it's him missing for the scene that hurts more. I wish people would just buckle down and do what they had to but we don't all work the same, some of our brains are just wired differently.

Not only are we missing out on a great artist, but by pulling crap like this, he has made me (and I'm sure others) a lot less likely to commission a piece from other artists.

I'm really torn on this, I honestly don't really care about the money but there are so many factors on how what he did was wrong. Agreed. At the very minimum he should have the decency to communicate to those fans who appreciated and supported his art enough to give him money. Collectors can be understanding on hardships, as long as there's communication. But I dismiss all of his defenders who claim he's a good guy dealing with bad times. There's no excuse to take someone's money and disappear. That's not characteristics of a god guy. That by definition is a crook.
