I would get it really hot with a heat gun for those who have access but a hair dryer works just as well, & then shimmy a razor blade between the shoe & foot

casper, thats a great idea. if the shoes dont come off right away i will probably end up doing that!

I thought this was a hyper series can't even get $5 for these on ebay someone is selling the chase for £175 haha and yet the geisha girls I got £2 for mine haha the series lately are a joke and this is probably the worst set to be released with most of the pieces just replicated from other sets like the Rhino guy (2 of these) copied from Gold life just all painted different If you wanted to you could actually get all 12 figures without the chase for $50 and if you wait you will probably get the chase for $1 next week

Don't know what the fuss is about the extra dunnys I got from my set I gave them away because they are worthless and the ratios are just poor

apoc series? i really liked the ryniak common, the meltdown guy. hydro74 also made his debut dunny, really like his 2 chases he got in that series (those are my fav). kronk's apes are kinda cool too, they have 4 arms.

not a fan of JPK or Ron English, but they got one too. check it out sometime.

how much are our sets really worth?
to me it hurts to sell a duplicate for less than retail
that is because yea it may be a duplicate
but does that really mean it has to sell
for less than retail?
i thought these were works of art that were LIMITED
im not asking 25$ for a duplicate but to me
its ridicoulus to sell for less than retail
i would hate being an artist an having a toy on the
market for 7$ when another artist who got the chase in the
series is up to 140$ and at the end of the day
both designs can be totally awesome!

Exactly... They are supposed to be designer toys that means they were created for art purposes not to be massed produced if I wanted massed produced items I would go and get skylanders or figures from cheap shops just for display purposes, these are supposed to be designer art items by top notch artists (well known artists at that) i'm not willing to pay £200 for an item that some guy is selling just because he has an account with kidrobot and gets them first puts them out as "rare" items forcing the price sky high for dunnys that there is 2 zillion of because Kidrobot made the mistake of commercialising instead of keeping to the script of "rare designer toys"

Just take a look at the last set "Apocalypse" the super chase can be got on eBay because it's flooded for £30 I sold one myself for £17 because there is millions of them they only show ?/?? because they really don't know how many the machine spat out

If you think about it a Blind Box it like a 10$ scratch ticket. If you are lucky enough to get that hard to find chase, the value is much higher. Commons often are great designs but are easy to aquire making them less rare, lowering the value. I like when a common dunny is a great design (Chuckboy Cyborg 2/16 for example) so everyone has a better chance of getting a great vinyl. But at the same time everyone right now is flooded with commons in search of the chase. It is part of the dunny game like it or not, you can buy the ones you want getting no dupes and paying less. Or take a gamble for that chase or just for the rush you get when you tear open that foil not knowing the contents. I cant tell you how an artisit feels about the value of his or her design, but if it is more common it does get much more exposure.

Commons in a series are never going to be worth big bucks later on, because they are in fact...commons. Most from the Apocalypse series aren't worth that much, but the chases (Sam Fout, Mono J-Led/regular J-Led, and Hydros) are going for a pretty penny now. Same goes for the 2012 series. The prices on the Bells, Kronk, Nakanari, JPK's, and Junko are pretty high, while the Pings, Pongs, Mads, etc. are going for less than retail.
This is why dunnys are sold in blind boxes, because it's the thrill of the hunt for the chase dunnys, not all of the dunnys .

This is not to say that the commons in a series are worthless. Most of the time I like the commons more so then the chases, 2011 Betso snail anyone?

I'm pretty new to collecting dunnys and designer toys in general but that's pretty much spot on for me.

Once the market gets a little less saturated with the series as a whole prices on the chases and less common toys will begin to rise, but if you're buying them because you like the series and want to collect it what does it matter what a flipper is getting for them on eBay?

this man has a great point.. hell ive been trying to find a cyborg chuckboy dunny on the bay for a decent price (to customize) and low and behold, theyre going for 30+

as for the people complaining about selling less than retail.. the secondary market takes care of pricing and demand, not necessarily KRs fault.. supply and demand! simple fundamental economics here people!

The case from kidrobot to the UK is £200 that's $300 you can buy the pieces right now full set of 13 for half that price so where is the incentive .. blind boxes in this series are a waste of time because the highest ratio in them is crap 1/16 oh wait the super chase theres 1000 of them at least and the "super hyper series" is still for sale by the case load on every site including this one I can buy 2 cases right now for £200 each lmao or buy a case from Germany for £130 this makes sense doesn't it? the people who are supposed to be in charge of things selling them nearly double for items that are "not worth the price blind or not" and for the people above saying the blind box is the chase of the hunt so to speak "there is no hunt there is only 13 different pieces in the series and they are the same pieces as were in the last few series and there is only 6 unique pieces in it the rest are colourways and they are not even good colourways the ratios are the same they could have at least made each one harder to pull

why would someone pay more than retail for a common? they can buy a blindbox and have a good chance of getting a common but then they still have a chance at getting a chase which could easily be sold or traded for multiple commons.

Stuff happens...EVERYBODY has the same doubles so nobody wants them and if you want to make back some of your money spent you got to sell em for less than retail. That's why Kid Robot needs to get off their money grabbing butts and start doing more variety and rares in series instead of 4 pairs of doubles and a color variant as a "different" design. :doubt:

We're all here to share ideas & opinions, not complain about currency exchange rates & express over & over again about how you can buy the entire series in the secondary market for less than what a case would cost you in your country. If that works better for you, then do that & stop complaining! Make toys not war!!
