Just got this in the mail today. I know some folks on here are quite hateful towards bootleg Dunnys, but this is so awesome to have and look at in person. It's also a bootleg of an 8" never produced so it's not trying to be anything other than a bootleg. The quality is really good, and despite the minor differences in the mold, it'll fit nicely in my collection.

Differences from the 3"
-heart is centered rather than on the left side of his chest
-heart shape is slightly different
-the break in the heart is a straight line instead of the lightning bolt break on the 3"
-though the mouth looks like it's frowning from the correct angle, most viewing angles give the appearance of a straight mouth. i believe the 3" has an overall sadder mouth.
-as mentioned in the post about the Dalek Pacman bootleg, the front tips of the ears are a bit pointier. The Dunny's left arm is also a little bit different in shape than his right.
-Dunny has almost the same DUNNY foot stamp

I think it was like 40 bucks or so. It's always the same seller who sells this one and a couple other bootleg dunnys, and they charge 20 bucks shipping, and all auctions begin at 20 bucks. They basically are forcing you to always pay at least 40, but considering I got an awesome 8" Dunny w more design than the soon to be released Gloomy, which is 75 bucks, I'm pretty darn pleased.

Exactly. I think KR has a little competition  Maybe they should lower their prices because there are plenty of these bootlegs available all the time. If I had the ability to buy a 30-40 dollar Dunny through KR for customs and whatnot, I'd do that over funding some dude in China.

This, the pac man, or the horvath mothman bootleg would also be good to have if you want to strip it and have a black blank dunny. I'm pretty sure every part of the Dunny is black vinyl with no paint other than the design. There are no black vinyl dunnys from KR worth stripping in order to get the same result, except maybe the three bears. I don't own any of those though so I can't be sure what color all the pieces of vinyl are.

Yeah, a pretty bootleg !
There is the serie 2 kozik too on ebay .
Good quality IMO , and fair price to own a 8" dunny , in a time when KR ask 75 bucks for a 8" gloomy ...

These pics confirmed it for me I will to buy one of these as it is one of my fav''s I have only not done it cause I bought the fake 3" voodoo's and the quality was terrible.

If you say this is pretty good I am going to grab one up, I will not make it a habit but this one and the S2 Kozik I really wouldn't mind having.

nice quality bootleg considering the differences. If there was a S9 AV in 8", I'd pick it up if the quality was similar to your superdeux

The quality is very good, and this guy is still making me happy every time I look at him. I think you'll be more satisfied with your money spent than if you were to buy a gloomy today.

yeah, it looks great, blah blah blah...

supporting bootleggers is never cool. all it does is undercut kidrobot, making it easier for them to produce more fakes, etc. it is also stealing the rights to the designs for the artists.

it also defaces you as a collector, because when people ask how you got it, you have to tell them "oh, it's a fake." unless you don't have any morals to begin with. in that case, keep stealing!

hardly... these guys probably have more genuine than bootleg in the first place, why would you need to bring morals into this - and stealing?

Because it IS stealing, technically. It's using someone else's product, a second person's design, and making something that neither of the originators are going to see any $$$ from.

It's not like a Shepard Farley thing, "Oh, he altered it, changed it, etc..." This is a blatent rip of a 3" design put on a fake 8" dunny. Both of those things are stolen copies of someone else's wrk.

i was referring to his "defacing you as a collector" comment, if you read his post..he was referring to those who know it is a fake and bought it and not the original seller.

to me it's more of a novelty and I felt like trying it out. I give PLENTY of money to kidrobot, so to compare a 40 dollar bootleg to the thousands I've given KR, I think I can happily do whatever I want every now and then.

Of course there is guilt that my money isn't getting to the artist, but then again, it's not very different than it normally is. Dunnys are generally a promotion tool for artists. An artist doesn't see a cent from 3" Dunny profits, and rarely gets much money from 8" Dunny sales. The Dunny is still on ebay w the name "Superdeux", so if anything, the bootleg is promoting the artist. I also don't see how it's taking away money from KR when it's not even a copy of something that exists (meaning there is no 8" superdeux). It's not like I'm choosing between buying a real superdeux at Kidrobot for 75, or a bootleg on ebay for 40.
