Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

That is the Irasutoya Boy from the Irasutoya design range by Takashi Mifune. A range of characters used in Japan and popular in things like phone stickers on messaging platforms like Line.

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

The Shareef goes for 300 Usd from instagram Flipper. The retail is high on that one, but that is still near double. I do think this one will stay at a high price though. For me if I could get one at retail I would, but otherwise it will probably slip through as I just do not like paying those kind ...

What's inside of this BE@RBRICK? Hard to see. Thanks.

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

Series 36 looking pretty good, some cool chases and lots out there in Asia already. I saw them everywhere today in HK. This Shareef 400% set is looking cool and will be popular I think, but Medicom Plus exclusive so I think it will be harder to get and have a rising fast price. http://www.medicomtoy...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

Yes lots of 400s, not sure if I am leaning towards any at the moment, always want another wood but the costs are just getting so steep.

Series 36 should release Saturday in Asia so we will see the chases and such very soon.

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

Early preview of this month's releases has leaked and some big items; gold Sorayama sets, new Pushead, Garfield 400%, more Star Wars and layered and horizon Fragment wood, plus 1 or 2 other wood releases I think.

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

I was at the HK Toy Festival briefly on Friday, not really a lot there (mostly mainstream toys) but there was a small Medicom display with some new stuff being previewed including my first in person look at Series 36. They only had a couple of 1000%s for sale, they were quite cheap, but that was all...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

Customs is a strange thing; China only gets around $6 USD for free and then could be subject to charges for instance. I do like living in a place with no import and no sales taxes though, I think that makes HK one of the best places for Be@rbricks, possibly even better than Japan. I did pick up the ...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

Hmm. I have never been charged a fee from customs. Ill have to read into if the United States pays customs fees I think the US only pays if it is over a certain amount and that value is fairly high ($2500), but I have heard this could eventually change. If you live in the EU, Canada, Australia and ...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

now getting any 1000% that price is nice lol. So i will probably order from cjmart as it looks to be the best price. do they take the money upfront or dont charge until it ships? Just curious . thanks I believe you have to pay fully upfront at CJ Mart (it was that way the last time I bought from th...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

Yes perhaps a case of going to the same well too many times, the B@bys are cool but so many colours kind of ruins it for me, plus I remember when it was not that hard to get one. Not too keen on the slightly revised Spongebob either, I think the new Haring could be ok, but will need to see it in per...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

I have not messed with a 1000% for quite some time so cannot say I notice the difference but it is interesting. Not much new for me, but I did pre-order the Phil Frost 400/100% set yesterday as I think it is a good design and I found it at pretty much Japanese retail with local pickup, so hard to a...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

You can ship a 1000% from HK to UK/EU for around 75 GBP and declare it say around 200 to be somewhat realistic, but that 20% tax is tough.

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

Super excited about the Phil Frost be@rbricks Now to find the best/cheapest/easiest way to get them to the UK - any ideas? They are looking pretty good!! For the UK you could pre-order at CJ Mart or look at Collect & Display or MintyFresh. I still think UK/EU prices are ridiculous but I know there ...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

I wanted the latest Bape for the HK significance as the shop is a common visit for me, being walk-able from my place. However there is a reason why of my 100+ 400%s, there is not a single Bape Bearbrick in there, prices rise too high, too fast and I don't pay big money for any Bears. I have spotted ...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

That Andre is so cool. Yes happy to have it in my collection now, and I think I got it at a decent price too. The Bape HK release was fairly crazy, a lot of flippers (domestic helpers day off on Sunday, so easy to pay them to stand in line) and the weather was stormy. I was not able to make it work...

^^^ Some nice Bears there, I wish that Gettry Burger had a box, always wish I had that one. The purple Bape Bearbrick is releasing tomorrow (Sunday) as part of the Hong Kong Bape store 12th anniversary. It is a lottery release so I am doing my best to find out all the details (postings always in Chi...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

I think it depends on what kind of reviews and recommendations you are after. If you are looking to collect 1000% usually starting with new releases / pre-orders is the easiest and then just keep your eyes peeled for good deals on the old stuff, probably close to home as the shipping is a factor on ...

So still no news about a Haroshi / Karimoku or did I miss it? Would be much appreciated if someone could give me a heads-up when released.. I have not seen anything about it since. He will be in HK for Art Basel next week but I doubt that will reveal anything, although I will get to see some pieces...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

How is the Asian market for bearbricks? Flat, up or down? Cheers. I would say the Asian market is probably up. Bearbricks always seem to sell consistently and the most popular designs tend to sell out quite quickly at least in Hong Kong. I think with anything as the Chinese fans get more and more i...

Re: Official BE@RBRICK Thread

Hi, Can someone help me explain to me what's the difference between the Darth Vader chrome version and the normal one are? Which do you think is the nicest one? Thanks! There is not a lot of difference between them, the Chrome version has a glossier finish but the design is nearly identical from wh...
