Re: marvel X kidrobot viniyl mini series

I like to see street versions. KAno did some amazing urban versions of both DC and Marvel characters a little while ago. Something along those lines or perhaps something to go with the Marvel hip-hop cover variants. https://static1.squarespace.com/static/54cc212ae4b00a18aab924a3/55205c03e4b01b8a469a...

Re: taking the YAHOO JAPAN plunge or COME ON, POST YR MONSTERS!

There's still a few of us around but yeah it is pretty quiet. Not quite like when I'd have to check back in a few times a day just to try to keep pace with all the new posts around here. Looks like you have a flickr account still so I'd link to that if you're posting pics. Would love to see if you'v...

Re: Itokin news

Great jeebus! A giga-lamé gold Astronaut just went up and was sold on Mandarake within 24 hours for ¥45,000 ($417US)!! I know these little guys are popular but that is nuts.

Re: The Usugrow Thread

Good to see some of the old faces still around man! ¥6000 and probably about ¥1400-2000 for shipping. Mandarake is really fair with their shipping costs. So that would be between $50-60US for the figure and say $12-18 for shipping. However it does say this does not come with packaging and it does ha...

Re: The Usugrow Thread

So I know the forum is fairly dormant these days but I recently found this guy for sale at Mandarake in Japan and I'm not sure that I know what this is... Silver Rebel Ink with no print I am familiar with almost all of the RIs including a bunch of the prototype ones that were released through ZoZoTo...

Re: Some questions about protecting my vinyls

I wouldn't apply anything to the toys themselves. However you may be able to find a clear UV cutting coating you can put on case. I know that places like Mandarake in Tokyo have UV coatings on their shop windows to protect their displays. Amazon or EBay may have something like that for you.

Re: Custom Pop Funko

One of the troubles I've heard is that the plastic quality isn't very good so they are a bit rougher to use as a base. That being said I know there are a few folks out there doing them. I'm pretty sure Avatar 666 (also goes by avatar_chakal) does some. He did a really awesome San from Princess Monon...

Re: The Instinctoy Thread

That made me chuckle a little. Back when I was living in Tokyo a toy shop owner from the states came over and we got to know each other a bit as we met up at different toy events and I helped him out a bit with translation. This would have been back around 2008 or very early 2009 I guess. Anyway, he...

Question about reusable Munnys

Hey there. I have one of the 2 foot tall reusable Munnys that came with the erasable markers that I use in my classroom. Unfortunately the thing has been used and cleaned enough that some of the marks are no longer erasing. I've tried all the standby whiteboard tricks such as dry-erase cleaner, usin...

Very interesting. Wonderful finishing on these as they really look like they are metal and enamel as opposed to resin!

Looks like the same person got the mecha suit and the light blue astronaut. That combo went for over $500! Same person also bid $150 each on the other two. Deep pockets.

Holy crap those prices are insane! The gold lamé on you mentioned is now up over $300 with 21 bids. Huh? Don't get me wrong, I love Kazu's stuff but that just seems outta line. :doubt:

Dear all of you complaining about the new look, The overhaul wasn't done by choice. It was either overhaul the board or get rid of it completely. Sorry, you'll get used to it. Dunno that you need apologize for something you can't control. If this is what is needed to keep the board up then that's w...

Hmm... not sure yet. Is there any particular reason the decision was made to change the forum look? Change in software or something like that? I must admit I'm finding it a bit tougher to read but that may just be because I'm not really used to it.

Absolutely. Nothing much happening in this end of the world toy wise but I'm guessing from the thread that you're getting out of the game. Would be happy to talk about you coming to Lotus Land. Fire me a PM and I'll get you my contact info.

I definitely remember swapping posts in the ESC thread back when you were building your collection. I'm not sure I can help too much but apparently a lot of the trading and selling these d...

Just a packaging error. I really doubt it would become a particular collectors item. Won't help the value either. I could be wrong but that just fits in with things I've seen in the past.

Oh, that bumble bee NAno and the Kawa... So good! Kazu hasn't done Kawadouji for a very long time. He was stopping just as I got into collecting around 2008. Even then they could be hard to find in Tokyo let alone outside Japan. Those of us who have them are lucky ducks. It is hard to find them as c...
